Just a heads up the "/usr/sbin/jamf displayMessage" command doesn't work with Lion at the login window (it does work in Snow Leopard at login window).
The display message command does work if a user is logged in (in Lion and Snow Leopard).
We use this as part of our imaging process via manual trigger in a post image script to let our techs know the post image installs are completed, a message is thrown to the tech to reboot now.
A reboot command in place of the message does work, but in our environment we tested this and preferred the message (a tech walks away from an imaging machine, he or she doesn't know if reboot happened or not so doesn't know if post image installs are done).
JAMF has acknowledged the issue and has sent the issue over to development.
Just FYI in case anyone else uses the command.
