Lock device to one specific app

Hi, i am locking my device to a specific app over time, but when the lock time expires the device is still locked to that app without exiting that app. Does anyone in the group have this problem, can you tell me how to handle it?

are you referring to Single App Mode?

I am locking an app according to a fixed time frame, but when the lock time is up, the device is still stuck on that app and cannot be exit.

I have experienced the same thing
if you use single Apps mode in Jamf,
it happens when you send the command finish single apps mode when the iPad does not get an internet connection then it will be stuck,
the solution is you can use lightning to ethernet / iPad pro USB-C to ethernet, restart the iPad (Hard restart https://www.wikihow.com/Reboot-an-iPad ) so that the Jamf command reaches the iPad.

In my case the iPad still has an internet connection but the device cannot log out to the main screen and the app is still lock
