Hi,

How to suppress the mac from restarting automatically after updating the security patches ?

@1965 You can't. The restart is built in to the Security Update package.

@1965 No, the restart options in a Jamf Policy have no effect on a macOS Security Update because it's not Jamf triggering the restart, but the update package itself.

Any alternative option ? as the user is working on his file and did not save the work,the mac just rebooted

Don't stress about managing the reboot, stress about managing the update itself.
