.metadata_never_index added to boot volume by casper imaging

I was puzzled as to why spotlight no longer worked on newly imaged machines.

After a little digging I found that they all had a .metadata_never_index file at the base of the root directory.

This file is put on the disk after imaging during the "Set Name to xxxxx" task.

Has anyone got any ideas why this might be happening? Currently working around this by scripting the removal of this file at first boot.

Cheers

Matt

Ahh thanks, my search didn't bring that up. I'll adjust my work around and wait for the fix.
