Hi all.

I'm not sure if anybody here is able to help on that topic but I would like to monitor our Tomcat Web App to ensure it is working.

We have currently running Icinga2 in the environment that is going to perform all checks.

Did anybody have Tomcat monitoring running and could provide some insides?

Thanks

I'm currently having issues with my server(s). This is helpful, but I didn't see a macOS package.

You will not require to have a package.
There are default checks already available like this: https://dokuwiki.tachtler.net/doku.php?id=tachtler:icinga2_-_plugins#check_tomcatpl

The issue here is that the /manager-webapp is not installed by default with the JSS.
It might worth if somebody know if this can be installed or is available as a .WAR file?

hi @maik.sanftenberg what is this manager-webapp you're talking about?

By default Tomcat does come with the manager-webapp what allows you to monitor certain aspects of Tomcat and verify the health.
In the Jamf custom install this piece is missing :-(
