MySQL 5.6 to 5.7 Upgrade or InnoDB conversion?

We are still running MySQL 5.6 and haven't converted over to InnoDB. I'm not a database expert so I'm not sure if I should upgrade to MySQL 5.7 first or I should run the conversion to InnoDB on current MySQL 5.6. Or does it really matter which procedure comes first.

Contact your Jamf Buddy, We went straight to InnoDB and we were running 5.5 on RHEL.

You could do what Hugonaut says -- I personally upgrade to 5.7 then did conversion. I wanted MySQL to be upgraded anyway.
