NetSUS 1.02 providing 10.8 updates?

Set this up at a client, let it do a full sync. Downloaded and enabled 607 updates, 105 GB. VM has another 80-90 GB of free space.

Ran software update, pointed to default Apple servers, on a newly-imaged 10.8.3 client. 4 available updates.
Pointed the client to the NetSUS, ran software update. 1 update available.

Tried all manner of re-sync, disable all, re-enable all, no dice.

Found another discussion here where it was questioned if the NetSUS supported 10.8 updates. Is it supposed to? If not, any fixes, or are they tied up with, uh, a "future version" of Casper Suite?

This discussion will answer it for you:

https://jamfnation.jamfsoftware.com/discussion.html?id=3973#respond

Basically, the URL that is in the GUI is wrong, or at least it won't work the way you want it to. You need to go to the directory that is mentioned in that discussion to find the proper URL. The directory is:

/srv/SUS/html/content/catalogs/others

There you will see all of the different catalog URLs. The one that I used for my users is:

http://sus.integerdallas.com/content/catalogs/others/index-mountainlion-lion-snowleopard-leopard.merged-1_integer.sucatalog

I know, crazy huh?

Are you pointing your Mountain Lion machines to the correct CatalogURL?

Reposado definitely supports 10.8 updates.

Pointing them to the URL displayed in the admin GUI, which is something like:

http://susname.domain.tla/index-branchname.sucatalog

Would be nice if that was in the documentation... *cough*

Thanks, Steve!

It sure would be nice if the NetSUS had a true root catalog url like an Apple SUS. Wonder if I've made that request (this week)... this business of OS-specific catalog URLs ain't fun :)
