I am having a constant and recurring problem getting the default Update Inventory policy (ID = 1) to run. Some confusing aspects of the problem:
- The scope is set to all computers, and the computer, when examined in inventory, clearly shows it is a part of the group.
- The computer in inventory shows that the policy is in scope
- The policy logs show that the computer in question has successfully run the policy before
- In the policy logs, I see that many, many other computers have successfully run the policy recently.
- When I issue the command 'sudo jamf policy -id 1' the result I get is invariably 'No policies found for the ID 1'
- Other commands work as expected: sudo jamf recon works, for example, and sudo jamf manage works.
Has anyone encountered this before?
