We have Office 365 version 16.36 installed and this was working fine until a few days ago. We have 20-30 macs running 10.14.6 that have office apps crashing every 5 -10 minutes. I am not seeing this behavior on other macs running 10.14.6 or Catalina.

We upgraded one of the affected machines to office version 16.37 this morning and it is still crashing every 5 minutes or so.

Anyone have suggestions for this? We have removed and reinstalled office using both JAMF and the files directly downloaded from MS.

We can't upgrade to Catalina because we have a few 32 bit apps.

@pbowden It appears this was a misconfiguration of the policy. It was set to execute on a reoccurring basis and was set to run more than once per machine. My supposition is this was trying to install office every 15 minutes or so and that's what was causing the office applications to "crash". I sent a message to the affected users last night and am waiting to hear back
