+23So we've been deploying office 2011, with a slightly repackaged version that incl SP3 back in March. It just came to my attention that Excel's Spell Checker errors out ("Cannot initialize spelling checker.") when you try to use...the only customization we did to the install preferences was

</array>The spell checker works in Word and Outlook.. but not Excel. What am I missing?
+36Not sure why this would affect only Excel and not Word but I believe the SP3 version of the full installer included an extra language item that is not selected by default. Not sure if you're using a choices XML file to modify the installer's behavior but this new addition would certainly affect things.
+23If I take out the vb/english portion it seems to work fine. Not sure how my old choices file got in there, but going through my notes it specifically said not to put in the vb/english because it breaks the spell check :)
