I'm in the process of updating a cloned version of our JSS from 9.97 to 10.0 (then 10.7) to keep our change process brigade happy ahead of the real thing, but I've run into a bit of an issue that's beyond my current Linux experience.
I need to update OpenJDK from 7 to 8 - but as it's a virtualised testing environment I have no internet connection to use apt-get to do so the 'easy way'.
Am I understanding correctly that there is no distributable that I can download for 14.0.4 (then convert to an ISO, mount in the VM and copy it over - ugh!), and that I'd need to compile this myself? If so, can anyone provide an 'idiots guide' to doing so?
Thanks
Chris
