Outlook doesnt accept new password unless tickets from ticket viewer are deleted

Hey All!

I have a small handful of users (past and present) that have issues connecting to the office suite once they change their password.

Here are the variables:

  1. Bound to AD
  2. Of the last 2 that i can remember, they Do not require Kerberos preauthentication
  3. They are initiating and successfully having the password changed on prem/on network
  4. Password change goes through and tests fine on apps like OKTA
  5. User will be unable to log into Outlook/Lync application (as it keeps asking) until the tickets from ticket viewer are deleted.

Any thoughts?

It's not widespread, but we would like to be ahead of things just in case.

Two things to try:

  1. Be sure Office 2016 is as up-to-date as possible. Past versions of Outlook have had password prompt issues.
  2. Try running @pbowden's NukeOffKeychain script to clear any crufty keychain items that may be causing issues.
