Packaging iLife

What are people doing for packages of iLife '06?

I had read in several areas online that others trying to do installs of iLike other ways than the apple installer had not had much or any success. Has anyone here? If you have a package that works, would you care to share the diff file? Right now I'm just using the iLife pkg installer, and I think it is the source of our extremely slow imaging. I know it's a lot of data, but right now the difference in no iLife vs. an iLife image is 30 minutes vs. 90 minutes.

Thanks,
John

John,
I've found the same issue -size. So we only image with iLife including
iPhoto, iTunes, iMovie. iDVD and Garageband and iWeb are on request. This
saves a lot of time imaging. I did seperate out the apps so each is
individual--except iTunes which is part of the OS package. iWork is a beast, too.

John,

When I built the iLife '06 packages, I just installed each one individually and made a package for each iLife app. I haven't run into any issues, although my standard configs only include iPhoto. I have packages for all the iLIfe '06 components and can push them out if necessary.

IIRC, I started with a computer that only had my base OS image on it. I ran Composer, and then installed one iLife component. I built the package, then for each additional iLife component, I lathered/rinsed/ repeated from the "I ran Composer" step.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. It would seem that it's less painful than I've heard.

Thanks,
John
