Parallels Updates

Hi
How are people keeping Parallels updated?
We already have Parallels deployed, I just need to know a solid update process. If I use the JAMF patch management or another solution how do I deal with clients with Parallels running during the updates? Or any other pitfalls I may be missing?

We let the users do the updates at their leisure. We provide the initial installer via the Self-service, and the users update / upgrade when they want.
