Patch Management definitions update

Forum|alt.badge.img+8

I am not using the built in Jamf Pro patch management, but I do like the Patch Management Statuses for various apps, especially the Microsoft Office apps, in the Dashboard. But looking at them, I see that in the definitions section. the newest version listed is 16.14.x, while the latest release is 16.15.x . The Macs that have updated past 16.14.x show as "version unknown".

My question is when do those definitions get updated? Do I have to manually update them, or is it auto?

Hey Douglas,

The updates for the Microsoft Office Software Titles will be released soon.

We're working on the deployment as we speak.

Thanks!

OK, good to know. So those are updated by Jamf in the background, and there's nothing additional I need to do. Got it!

Right, the only time your interaction would be needed is if there is an Extension Attribute change to an already added Software Title. In that case an admin would need to accept the EA again.

Hope that helps!

Has anyone seen 16.15.X come across yet in patch management for office?
