Prevent Microsoft Teams autostart for all users?

On some of our Macs with some of our users, we are seeing Microsoft Teams starting up automatically when they log in, which is resulting in performance issues.

Is there a way we can enforce (for example with configuration profiles) that Microsoft Teams should never autostart for any users on any Mac in our organisation?

Is MS Teams in the user's Login Item? If so, I think you can remove it with 

tell application "System Events" to delete login item "itemname"
