Hello Jamf Nation!

This morning, Jamf announced the acquisition of the technical assets of cmdSecurity, which includes the cmdReporter suite of tools. As we know, securing corporate data is a cornerstone of Apple Enterprise Management. The loss of sensitive data can lead to significant reputation damages and financial losses.

Taking a proactive approach to securing data becomes imperative to prevent intentional, or even unintentional, exposure of restricted data. A security and compliance solution, such as cmdReporter, provides organizations with an in-depth view of critical network, process, system and user actions that occur on a device.

cmdReporter will bolster Jamf’s flagship macOS security offerings, Jamf Pro and Jamf Protect, allowing us to serve customers in industries that have strong levels of oversight and control, such as governments, financial, energy and education institutions.

For now, we are solely announcing the acquisition. We will share updates on our expanded security roadmap in the near future.

For more information on the acquisition, read the full press release here: https://www.jamf.com/resources/press-releases/jamf-boosts-macos-security-capabilities-with-the-acquisition-of-security-and-compliance-solutions-created-by-cmdsecurity/.

Sincerely,
Dean
