Pushing License via Casper Suite

Are you installing the software during imaging, and then want to push out the license file afterward? What software package is this?

As a matter of practice, I try to separately package:

1) Applications 2) Application preferences 3) Application licenses

Yes, you can package and push license files separately but you must identify
the files that contain the licenses. Casper can't do that for you.

Casper also cannot *hide* these license files from users. They must be
accessible to each user (at minimum read-only) as the serialized application
requires in its design. Some applications, like Microsoft Office, will
encode their license file so that the serial number is not visible. Some,
like Parallels, won't. You can't control this.

A third party solution like KeyServer from <http://www.sassafras.com> may be
able to help you. I'm not familiar with it.

Hi Thomas,

I am not installing it during the image. Packaging via Composer and
deploying it through Casper Policy. For all packages, we are looking for
this option.

Mac OS X functionality requires users to have privileges to read these
license files so that they can run the applications.

You'll have to control this with third party software, but I have no
suggestions for what you can use other than KeyServer. Again, I have no
experience with that software.
