Reeeeeeally stupid question

I'm noticing in patch management there is an option for macOS updates. With all the other applications there's a needed definition (in pkg or dmg form) for a patch policy to run. Where are we supposed to get the update source files for package creation to attach to the policy?

I’ve always pulled it to a test machine via the App Store ... or you can find supplemental updates for download on Apple Support.

I'm too scared to use it for major version updates but I do use it for step updates within versions by using the Combo updater pkgs as definitions and only scoping the policies to the appropriate major macOS versions.
