Anyone else having issues with the Apple supplied Ricoh print drivers (v2.5) on Yosemite? The driver installs but then when attempting to print a user will see 'Some of the software for the printer is missing'. The user can then reinstall the driver package and be able to print but the error will start to recur. I checked Ricoh's site and they haven't offered up a newer driver as far as I can tell.

100 + MBP's running 10.9.5 and 10.10.3 printing to 3 Ricoh printers without problems. Have you deleted and re-added them to the Mac?

I wonder who's watching the kids over at the Apple Software Update department.

Try this:

  1. install the Apple supplied printer drivers
  2. Install the Ricoh supplied printer drivers
  3. Recreate the printer queues on the Mac
