I have a very strange problem. I work for a school district and we have
interactive text book applications. This one in particular was bought
as individual licensed seats. I don't know why, but that is how it was.
By design the software needs to be ran as admin and authenticate the
license to the internet the first time it has ran. Is there a way to
make casper run a software package as admin the first time it runs and
never again after that?
Basically, I want to make an image that has the application installed
but not authenticated, then push it out to the user so they can put in
their license key the first time they run it. My alternative is to
visit all 40 users and install by hand and authenticate each one by
hand. Which I want to avoid doing. Now this is possible because you
can install it with out authenticating the license but the first time
you run it you need admin rights to authenticate the license. Probably
because the license caches some little file somewhere that needs admin
rights.
