Script to shutdown macs and turn them back on

My company needs to use Jamf to shutdown and tun back on some macs. Is there any script or any option in Jamf that can help me with it?

@angela04 If you truly mean that you want to shut down the Mac, and not just restart, you need to look at the pmset command which allows you to set a scheduled startup time. It can schedule shutdown, but that will fail if any apps don't quit, so you'll need some sort of script to run the shutdown and make sure all apps quit first.

Be aware that if you're using FileVault to encrypt the Mac's boot drive that restarting the Mac does not re-connect it to the network. Someone with FileVault enabled credentials needs to log in first before the full OS with networking starts up in that case.
