I'm trying to configure self healing and can't get it to work.
I have a policy that installs .conf files along with running some scripts to enable and configure SNMP on my Mac 10.6 clients.
We have an issue where when we upgrade from 10.6 to 10.7 the conf files are removed during the upgrade process.
I'm trying to create a self heal package to re-add the missing conf files installed in my script and can't figure out how to do it.
Basically the steps I followed:
1. Create the policy and run once per computer on startup - which works 100% for 10.6 machines.
2. Index the dmg package in Casper Admin
3. Policy > Advanced > Check Self Heal Packages
4. Test - didnt work,
5. RTFM and went to JSS > Settings > Casper Admin > My Package.dmg > Self Healing > Re-Install Triggering files > Triggering Files for Self Healing = my conf files.
Testing:
Deleted conf files and restarted and the files were never healed.
What are we missing?
Thanks for any assistance.

It looks like you may be missing the portion about needing to setup Autorun data for the machine. Check out page 307 of the Admin's Guide for more information on the requirements and workflow for setting up the self healing feature. The Guide is available online here:
