Self Service app version mismatch

Anyone having issues with self service appversion updates?


example -

Logic x  version 10.6.3 is installed on the machines via macstore/vpp. the latest version comes out (10.7.2) and we make it available in the self service. it appears on self service but has no update/install button - just open. if you click the app it tells you latest version is 10.7.2, and there is an 'open' button, which will just run 10.6.3. so how do we update our apps?


we dont want to just fire out an auto update as it will mess with students work if jamf is caching and trying to install behind the scenes. surely they should be able to open the self service, click update and thats it?


anyone seen this before?
