One of our users notified me of a misspelling in the Self Service client when they were trying to use it when it was down. Where can I change this message?
@Person That's interesting, what version of JSS/Self Service are you running? Do you have any Self Service plugins set up? I tried to recreate this and couldn't get that message to come up. What state was the JSS in when this happened? Thanks!
Janis
No idea where its stored, but my partially educated guess would be that its coming from within the Self Service application itself, since that only comes up when the app can't connect to your JSS (so it can't be coming from the JSS)
Trying to find the actual location is going to be like looking for a needle in a haystack though, not to mention that Self Service.app is compiled, so a lot of the data isn't going to be readable.
Your best bet would be to contact JAMF about it. They'll likely need to roll a fix into the next release.
Just curious, but what version of the JSS are you on? I'm wondering if its from an older version that was subsequently fixed in a newer release, or if its a current version typo. I haven't looked to see if our 9.63 version has it.
I actually emailed TAM about that. It was filed as a defect.
That page is located in Self Service
Eg: https://jamf.jamfcloud.com/selfservice2/
or internally: https://yourjss.yourdomain:8443/selfservice2/
Thanks! We are currently using 9.72 and at the time the JSS was down while I was making a change to some Tomcat settings.
I can confirm that this is fixed in 9.73. (jUst checked on my dev servers)
