Self Service not providing fail message to end user

Hi all,

Got an issue that's kind of annoying.

So users have been using Self Service to install software packages. Users have feed back to me that Self Service is giving them a valid successful completed install message, but when they go to Launchpad, they don't see the software they want.

Checking Casper JSS Policy logs, it also recognise the installation has completed. But digging deeper, it actually failed because the download stopped half way. Please see screenshot as an example (some info redacted for privacy)

So, why don't Casper recognise the error, and hence passing an error message to the user?

We are using Casper JSS 9.96

I believe that was patched in 9.97
