Hi,
I have in the past successfully used the Exchange-ActivSync Configuration Profile for iOS to set up gmail for student ipads
Is there any advantage to switching over to the Google Account Profile?
I canot find any info on variables to use.
Can anyone point the way?

+9We use Exchange for our GAFE accounts primarily as it has push notifications for email. The Google account does not I believe.
+22@Sandy as @nigelmarrion mentions, if push notifications for email is important to you then you should stick with the Exchange setup. Exchange gives you mail, contacts, calendars and reminders where as the Google Account setup gives you mail, contacts, calendars and notes. If you use the Gmail iOS app you can also get push notifications as well. But that app isn't as nicely integrated into iOS as the standard Mail app is.
