Hello,
I start in installation of JSS. Before to give me a share (with SMB), the responsable of the SAN ask me to precise the volume of i/o for JSS.
I disarmed for this question and I don't find any informations about this.
The first need is to manage 100 iMac on Maverick and around 450 iPads. Where can i find these informations ?

    Two actions which will cause disk I/O

    read/write access to the MySQL database (frequently, activity will depend on the number of policies and the frequency of client check-ins).

    Package deployment (used mostly for OS X).

    I don't think JAMF has any recommendations on I/O since that varies dependent upon use. Certainly if you are imaging a lab of 20 Macs you're going to see a lot of I/O operations as OS images and packages are pulled off the SAN and sent over the network.
