Hi All
I recently found the following issue with the recon process. If there's a shortcut inside and app for the app itself, recon keeps scanning the same app over and over again until the process just quits and recon doesn't update the inventory.
Recently Adobe has decided in an update to CS6 to include a shortcut to SpeedGrade CS6 inside the app package. On all our mac's with master collection installed after the update they stopped reporting to the jss. Running the command jamf recon -verbose showed that it kept scanning the same app over and over again before giving up.
I would think that the recon/enroll process sgould be smart enough to figure this out and move on if there's a shortcut like that inside the app package.
We don't use SpeedGrade here so i just deleted the shortcut form the machines with Master Collection to get the machines reporting again. No idea if it breaks the app.
Any ways to make jamf able to overcome this obstacle?

How did you delete the shortcut?
