Are you running Casper 6.01? If so you should be able to select your smart group, once configured, under the Exempt Computers Tab when creating your Restricted Software. We have yet to test the restricted software feature of Casper but it is something I plan on testing very soon. I will work on it more tomorrow between 8am - 4pm EST and can get back to you then.
