Question

Software policies

Forum|alt.badge.img+4

1:1 environment.

I have a few policies that installs software. For example, Final Cut Pro. The policy is set to Ongoing and made available in Self Service. Policy is then scoped to a static group called "Install Final Cut Pro".

However I want to check if the computer meets the software criteria, like if Final Cut Pro requires 10.13.0 etc.

What the best approach for this scenario? Should I create a smart group that checks the software requirements, and also checks that the computers needs to be a member of the static group "Install Final Cut Pro"?

@pandrum

Yeh Mate, A smart group is the best way for you to go. Set the criteria to machines with 10.13 or higher and then apply the policy to that group.
