Software Updates on logout?

Is anyone running their software updates on logout? I have a policy that
runs all available updates on logout, but it seems to get stuck and never
finish. When I watch the tmp log that jamf creates in /private/tmp/ it will
always stall at writing files, yet give me no errors. If software update is
ran any other time other than logout it works without issue. I am using the
set server and install updates checkbox in the packages tab of my policy
that I have set up. Another funny thing is that it only seems to happen if
it is an iTunes update or a Mac OS update. I have tested this with Apple's
servers as well as my own SUS and it doesn't matter which one I am using.
Anyone else having similar issues?
