I have created a policy with sophos central to make USB devices read only. This works fine on PC but not on the macs. I have applied the policy to 2 users only.
In the events it says that a usb device has been restricted by your administrator.
Could something else be blocking it?
+9Check configuration profiles -> Restrictions -> Media -> External Disks.
If "Allow" is unchecked, you'll get this message.
+7You could use the "Read-Only" option in the Restrictions payload. I understand the want to let Sophos take care of this, but if using this accomplishes the same thing, you could run with that.
+3OK Just been testing and found that the policy will apply to a mac if the computernameuser is added but this means that only that user on that machine has been added - Has anyone found a way to just add the domainuser? and it work.
