Sorry I did not elaborate: we are using Cisco switches (only 100 meg not
gig) and all servers are either G5 xServes or in the case of the jss/afp
server intel quad core.

    I've seen the exact same performance with a 100MB network using an
    XserveG5. I had wondered if I needed to upgrade my network to Gigabit to
    boost my performance.

    Is anyone imaging via NetBoot on GigE?
