Hi,

We had upgraded JSS Casper to 9.65 version few months back however didn't make any changes/upgrades at SUS appliance. While pushing patches via SUS, I realized that it didn't show any Mac OS X Yosemite updates. Do I need to upgrade SUS appliance to get Mac OS X Yosemite updates or am I missing anything here?

Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

Regards,
Navdeep

Unfortunately, yes. Apple's OS X Server product used to make it relatively easy to serve updates for higher operating system versions (e.g. SUS running on OS X 10.8.x could serve 10.9.x updates) — you had to edit some system files, but it would work.
Now, as of OS X Server 3.x (and continuing into 4.x and 5.x beta), the software overwrites your changes to the system files, and refuses to serve updates for higher OS X versions.
So yeah, you will need to update your SUS to at least the same operating system version that you wish to serve updates for.
Good luck.
