System health

Hi everyone,

I would like to understand how do you generate system health historical report for device managed in Jamf.

Due to current limitations in Jamf, We cannot get the historical data on CPU, RAM usage and battery health etc

Is there any third party tool or automation that can help to address this issue

@Sonam2021 Aternity and Nexthink are the two systems for monitoring Mac health I've seen in action. I don't have enough direct experience with either to make a recommendation however.

I would not call this a Jamf "limitation" as it's not something Jamf Pro is designed to do, nor something Jamf (the vendor) has any interest in monitoring.

We use Control Up EdgeDX which offers performance monitoring, and it meets our needs. However, micro-monitoring our historical system performance is not a priority on macOS though it is nice to have the data when tracking down issues.

We're using Nexthink where I work. It's pretty decent. The Mac deployment is not too complicated or problematic. I can't speak to if the product is better or worse than other options out there though.
