When provisioning a machine, has anyone setup a buddy list template for each department?

+8Not sure quite how you're envisioning the buddy list config, but generally speaking it sounds like something we would do on the Jabber server itself, so that clients connecting would pull down a buddy list of folks already grouped by department or role. Maybe try having a chat with whoever manages your Jabber server?
