I'm trying to figure out why Tomcat goes on the fritz everyday shortly before 10:00 AM. I have the backups happen 12 hours before hand, there is no purging of logs right now due to compliance and I'm looking into moving them out of the server and hopefully these two issues aren't tied though.
Looking at the logs when it does freak out, tomcat is complaining about
10/31/12 9:54:34 AM com.jamfsoftware.tomcat[61322] SEVERE: The web application [] is still processing a request that has yet to finish. This is very likely to create a memory leak. You can control the time allowed for requests to finish by using the unloadDelay attribute of the standard Context implementation.
Tomcat is then using just shy of 7 GB of RAM on a machine that has 8GB of RAM. Restarting Tomcat brings everything back to normal.
Anyone else seeing similar behavior?
