Tomcat monitoring

I'm curious what (if any) tools people are using to monitor Tomcat. We've got a large server with multiple JSS instances, and we'd like to keep an eye out for memory hogs and other ne'er-do-wells. I tried JMeter, and am not blown away by it. Any recommendations - or horror stories - would be appreciated.

It's an Ubuntu server with Tomcat7.

Many thanks!
