What are you guys using for all of your inventory needs? I mean Macs, Monitors, PCs, printers, everything? I know I can put peripheral information into the JSS manually, but what about workgroup printers that are not a desktop peripheral? What about asset reconciliation? e.g. We use handheld scanners to check inventory in at the receiving dock and to physically verify inventory once a year against barcodes on office doors. If something has been moved to a new office (happens all the time) it is a manual process to make changes in the JSS.

We currently use multiple products to accomplish these tasks with duct tape and rubber bands holding it all together. We need one solution.

We're using GLPI. It's open source, modular and very comprehensive in what it can do.
