When a lost mode command is sent, the device does not enter lost mode until the command is received by the device. This means that if a device is offline, there is no designation in Jamf to show that it is lost, but is not yet in lost mode. We are using a manual extension attribute that we tick when we send the lost mode command and untick when the device is found. This has not been a reliable system, but it's better than nothing. I was wondering how other people are handling this and if there's anyway to automate it. Let me know what you think!
