Two Lines on Login Window

Is there anyway to setup Managed Preferences so that it displays two lines on the login window? It looks like you can only do one in the standard template provided.

Thanks,

Drew

Type your message in plain text in TextEdit. Copy/paste it into the field

I've seen a paragraph there at other offices, so I know you can. Not sure
about it being done with Casper or not, but it makes sense to allow it.

I am having an issue with it cutting off the end of the text that is in
the field. Is there a character limit that one should stay within?

are you trying to do this on lion?
if so, create a file named /Library/Security/PolicyBanner.txt

The issue with the text being cut off is on a Lion machine. Thanks.

Try the

tags for your self service text and see if that
fixes it, it should maintain the format that you input in the JSS.

Will the PolicyBanner.txt file work on other versions as well or is that a
Lion only feature?

I used to do it.

There is a limit per line & if you use spaces you can take up the character limit to make the new line.

Ben.
