Unable to log in to Clustered instance

Good Morning All,

I'm setting up a new cluster instance of our JSS, and while everything seems correct I am unable to actually log in to the machine. It communicates with the database correctly, and its DB account has full rights, but any attempts to log in just fail and it is refreshes to a blank log in screen. I've checked the logs on the box, and all attempts to log in with a directory based account simply list as failed, but the local backup admin account logs that it was successful, however even that exhibits the same behavior. I'm not sure what could be causing this as our other instances have all logged in fine right off the break. The box is Win2012R2 and the JSS is running as 9.96.

Have you checked for time drift on the box? That might prevent LDAP logins and proper master-child sync.

What does your clustering page look like?

Time on the host is correct. Clustering page shows our DMZ and internal boxes correctly, as well as this additional machine.

I've seen this behavior on mobile devices even on known good systems.

  • Manually retype the JSS URL in the browser and hit Enter.
  • If you are on a mobile device, try Chrome or Firefox instead of MobileSafari.
  • Check that the LDAP service account isn't locked or expired.
  • Check if you can log into other cluster nodes with an LDAP account.
  • Use the LDAP test function on another server.
