Uninstalling packages reliability using Self Service

I've built packages, indexed them in Jamf Admin (10.9.0), allowed them to be uninstalled, cloned the policy to make an uninstall but it doesn't seem to do a very thorough job.
The Dropbox application doesn't get removed, only 5 of 7 things in the TeX applications folder get removed, but Chrome gets removed even if running.

Everything requires something different. Here is some information on Dropbox. You might be better off with a quick script to kill the service and uninstall it.

I've used this feature with great success in the past... so long as I was building the .dmg or .pkg using Composer. I wouldn't bother with using this to generate un-installers for things I didn't package. As @ryan.ball says. Everything requires something different. Sometimes there's a great uninstaller, sometimes you have to make a script instead... and then there's Adobe (Sorry, had to).
