I have really a strange issue that seems to be general on Mojave, but cannot find much on this
If I boot into recovery mode, click the apple menu and pick "startup disk" and click the unlock button it prompts for the user password to unlock.
The language on this screen is default US and if you play arround with the language input you can manage to get the right local input flag that match the keyboard. But when then entering the password with local language characters it does not accept it.
If I change the local password for the user without special characters it works fine, but a lot of users have local language characters in their password
Anyone know something about this issue ?
