Updates for this mac are managed bu 127.0.0.1

hello

As per my attachments , in System Preferences - Updates i get the message Updates for this mac are managed bu 127.0.0.1
if i select defaults and enter in my password, i get to view the updates i should be missing.
Anyone with an idea as to why its chaging to 127.0.0.1.
The mac is 10.14.6

    Do you have any profiles installed? If so is one of them managing Software Updates? Do you have a file in /Library/Preferences/Managed Preferences titled com.apple.softwareupdate.plist?

    Thanks for the response, i can confirm i dont have any profiles to manage softwareupdates and also i do not have the file com.apple.softwareupdate.plist in managed references

    Is this isolated to a single Mac?

    Have you tried
    sudo softwareupdate --reset-ignored
