Hi,

I upgraded our Lion server to 10.7.4 this morning and now when I do a jamf recon I get the following error.

There was an error submitting the computer to the JSS. The JSS responded with a status 401.

Anyone know the answer to this?

Best wishes

Michael

401 has to do with unauthorized access. Do you have certificate-based communication turned on?

Yes I do and it was working prior to the 10.7.4 upgrade as I was pushing out packages yesterday.

Same thing happened to me. Open the Server.app and make sure File Sharing and Web are On, mine turned off for some reason. Also had an issue with AFP. So you may also need to go under System Preferences -> Sharing, and select your shares and go to Options, make sure the first one is checked (if you use AFP of course).

Hope it helps!

It turned out to be one machine. We rebuilt it and it was fine. Very strange.
