User upgrade from iOS6 to 7 on supervised devices

I am working on a one-to-one roll out for next school year (about 630 iPads) and am pretty much being forced down the supervision route. I have most things worked out to get these things built out and off and running with the students except what will happen when iOS 7 releases.

I am very concerned about how the upgrade to iOS7 will effect them. Point release are not an issue but with a full upgrade I wonder if the devices will need to be plugged back into the supervising mac(s), and that is not at all feasible. The only president is the 5 to 6 upgrade but that changed how upgrades work so much I can't use that as a model to predict at all.

Has anyone come across anything that might shed a bit of light on this? its still NDA season so I have little hope of a straight up answer but any clues would help me sleep at night.

thanks as always

Yep, NDA season for sure! The changes will be sizable and the management significantly changed. The process of getting there is unclear though. We're planning on plugging them in sometime in November... Perhaps for the last time ever?!?!

I bounced it off my Apple sys. engineer with similar results......

Too early to answer I guess. Laying hands on all those devices sometime during the school year is going to be a pain to be sure.
