Afternoon
There are plenty of threads that dance around the question but nothing specific I could find. Not to mention, many are years old.
I have been asked to look into using JAMF to set curfew times on our student's MacBook Airs. They are all currently running El Cap.
Thanks!

From your JSS:
Configuration Profiles > New > Parental Controls (in the Config Profile sidebar) > Click "Configure" > Time Limits > Enforce Limits
Then configure it to your liking.
Make sure to properly scope it to a test Mac to see how it applies and confirm the settings are good, then you can change your scope to apply to as many Macs as you need.
Also, to be clear, your JSS needs to be configured to deploy Configuration Profiles, with an Apple push cert, correct ports open on your network, etc, to do any of this. Hopefully its already set up for that.

Hi Peter,
At GMS we've used JAMF to deploy parental control curfews using a configuration profile on our MLTI devices. My setup and testing worked as expected. However, I have recently been informed that students can restart the computer and login to the device after the curfew time. I have not yet investigated why this is happening. The configuration policy (providing it works as expected) or deploying d.Browns's curfew package (as used on our 6th Grade MacBooks) will provide the curfew settings you need. I'll let you if I can fix the configuration policy issue.

@ Mike
We have also been told that students are finding away around this configuration profile we have setup. It seems to work on my test device but we have parents that have notified us that the curfew is not working even though it is scoped out to that device. I am wondering if you guys have found anything else to tighten this up?

We are facing the same issue. Parental control's payload with time limits has been configured and scoped to a number of devices. Now parents told us that they are unable to use the computer during curfew. Why is it affecting the admins accounts? Is there any workaround?
Thanks
