Using Managed Apple ID for FaceTime

I have Apple Business Manager already successfully federated to Azure AD and ABM creating the matching (managed) Apple IDs in ABM and logins working.

The next goal is to provide these to our Mac and iPhone users for utilising FaceTime.

There is no problem doing so manually on devices but I have not been able to find any Jamf advice on how to automate this for users. Ideally this would be possible for existing devices and not just freshly DEP/Automated Enrolment devices. So is it possible to push out the Apple ID for a user for use with FaceTime to their device like it is possible to push out e.g. an email account to the email client on that device?

I don't think this is a JAMF question, this a a question on what Apple allows. Absolutely a situation I would recommend submitting feedback for.

As far as I am aware, there is no way to manage automatically assigning an AppleID to a device, much less automatically logging someone's AppleID in (managed or not). You cant even force a user to use a Managed AppleID.

I am trying to see if there is a way for Jamf to configure the FaceTime login account for users like Jamf can configure email accounts. Therefore I feel this is Jamf related. From this perspective the fact it is a managed Apple ID is irrelevant I merely want an account to be added automatically which happens to be a managed Apple ID. The user would be prompted - just like is the case with email accounts sent via MDM to enter their password.

Apple develops the MDM Framework. Until Apple adds a MDM command for what you are asking, JAMF cannot use it. Your ask is of Apple at this point not JAMF.
